Sewage into Homes
Residents in one mountain community are dealing with a stinky mess. Pipe repairs on Forest Lane in Black Mountain is causing sewage to back up into several homes.
One resident says this is the second time in nine days sewage has exploded into his house. After the first incident, Tom Bridges says he contacted MSD. He claims the mess was cleaned up, but not to E.P.A. standards.
Officials with MSD says the contractor, Southeast Pipe Survey, is responsible for the mess. The company out of Georgia tells News 13 Bridges hired an independent agency and they are waiting on a quote from them to begin their work.
Southeast Pipe Survey is apologizing to residents effected but Bridges says he's taking legal action.
