Convicted Murderer Speaks
For the first time, we are hearing from the only person convicted in the murder of 10-year-old Zahra Baker.
Elisa Baker, her stepmother, speaks from jail, "I plead guilty to something I did not even do and it wasn't even a murder."
Baker is now serving a minimum 25 year prison sentence.
She says Zahra had been sick that day with a stomach bug and when she went to check on her, she wasn't breathing.
Elisa Baker, convicted murder, "I didn't see her chest moving up and down. Automatically I got scared...started doing CPR."
Elisa defends herself and says it was Zahra's father Adam who dismembered the body and placed the remains through Caldwell County.
She says she thought it was something from his culture in Australia.
