Murder Suspect Captured
An update on a developing story we have been following for you.
The two day search for the man accused of murdering his wife is over.
36-year old Mack Glisson was arrested around 6:30am Friday morning in McDowell County after an extensive manhunt.
Investigators in Buncombe County say Glisson shot his wife to death, while the couple's two children slept in a nearby room.
The sheriff's office will only say Glisson is in a secure area, but his new home will soon be here at the Buncombe County jail.
Meanwhile investigators working to build a murder case against the man they say killed his wife, Crystal Glisson, in cold blood, then left her body to be found by the couple's two children.
Deputies say they got a tip that Glisson was in the Old Fort area of McDowell County.
Early this morning state and local cops found Glisson's abandoned truck, then found him
Natalie Bailey, Buncombe Sheriff's Spokeswoman "he was taken in without incident and the next of kin of the victim have been notified. Glisson has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Crystal Dawn Coomer Glisson and the investigation is still ongoing."
We're still waiting for Glisson to be booked into the jail, it's unclear when he could have a first court appearance.
The penalty for 1st degree murder, if convicted, is life without parole or death.
