We will post details as we get them.

A toddler is the focus of an Amber Alert in Asheville. Police believe 16 month old Jayden Squire is with his father Russell Squire.

Jayden's mother, Melissa McRae told News 13's that she was giving Jayden a bath when she and Russell Squire got into an argument in their room at the Thunderbird Motel on Tunnel Road Thursday evening.

She says Russell grabbed her around the throat and hit her, knocking her unconscious.

Police say Squire took the boy from the motel and left on foot. Jayden Squire was only in a diaper.

His mother says he has asthma and needs medication.

Police issued the Amber Alert and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050.
