Asheville City Marathon Kicks Off Tomorrow

Nearly 3,500 runners will hit the streets early tomorrow in the first Asheville Citizen-Times City Marathon. The race starts at 6 a.m. at Woodfin Street for both the full and half marathons. With more than 26 miles to cover the roads along the route will have to be closed. Almost 20 streets in and around downtown Asheville will be shut down for hours.  Organizers expect a few folks to be inconvenienced but overall say it should be a successful experience for all the runners.
