Computers In The Classroom
Is there such a thing as too many computers in a classroom? Today News 13 took a look at two Rutherford County schools with drastically different approaches to integrating technology into the classroom.
The public school district gives each student a computer full-time. They can take it home, and they use it in nearly every class. But the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy School, a charter school, has just about 150 computers for an entire school to share.
Graduation rates have gone up in the three years since Rutherford County started giving a computer to each student. Thomas Jefferson says right now, the statistics aren't there to convince them to make a funding push to add more technology.
