Twins Born In "Mooternity Ward" At Fair
Twin calves were born Monday morning at the Mountain State Fair's "Mooternity Ward".
Twin births occur in 1 to 7 percent of cattle depending on breed and genetics.
Fairgoers can watch the miracle of birth at the "Mooternity Ward." Agriculture students along with veterinarians will be with the animals to oversee, assist with the deliveries and narrate the birth events that occur during Fair hours.
Organizers anticipate several live births each day; but, of course, the exact timing is still up to Mother Nature.
