Hendersonville Mission Under Code Grace

As the temperature drops, it becomes dangerously cold for those without a warm place to stay. The Hendersonville Rescue Mission is one option for those without a home. Even if people have exhausted their stay, they can spend the night in the mission. The shelter is about 60% full, leaving space for those needing to stay warm this week. The shelter  stays under a Code Grace when the temperatures fall below 38 degrees.

"It's absolutely essential that we operate under this Code Grace during these times, because it does get frigid and it can get to a point where people can die, and we don't want that in Henderson County,' said Anthony McMinn with the Hendersonville Rescue Mission.

The shelter also serves Polk, Rutherford and Transylvania counties.
