Christmas Tree Shopping

A late Thanksgiving could mean big crowds at local Christmas tree farms this weekend.

The Christmas spirit is alive and growing at Sandy Hollar Farms in Buncombe County. There are nearly 100,000 trees folks can choose from. From small to tall, the options are endless.

Owners say Friday, Saturday and Sunday are expected to be extremely busy. But they are ready to show people a good time, including today. Several families came to the farm to pick out their Christmas trees.

The owners of Sandy Hollar Farms says this time of year is always exciting. They are very thankful they can be a part of some people's holiday.

Weather will play a role in this weekend and next weekend's sales. Sunny days are great, but snow also gets people in the holiday spirit.

Getting a Christmas tree isn't the only fun folks can have when they come pick out their tree. Sandy Hollar also has hot chocolate, a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and hay rides.
