Jewelry & Cigarette Theft

Thieves made off with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and cigarettes in a  break-in in Haywood county early Monday morning.

The sheriff's office hopes video will help them arrest the two suspects. Investigators say two men broke through the glass door at Fergusons Store off Route 209 about 5:30a.m. Monday morning.

They say one of the men had a beard and they were driving a white Ford Ranger pick-up truck.

Captain Bruce Warren says, It had a red cooler in the back.  What they took was cigarettes and some jewelry total value of about $6,000.
