Mobile Home Attack

Asheville Police are trying to solve a frightening crime that happened in a mobile home park Tuesday night. Someone sprayed rifle-fire into the exterior walls of two trailers, injuring one person inside. There are at least a dozen bullet holes, mostly on the walls of a mobile home on Bear Creek Road in West Asheville. The shooter also hit a truck parked outside. One errant shot hit a trailer next door. It all happened just after 9:30 p.m. and frightened some neighbors.

There were three adults and two children in the home hit by all but that one stray bullet. A woman there was injured by flying debris caused by the gunfire.  She was treated and released from Mission Hospital. Police say they could use some help with information in this case. Anyone who might know anything should call Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050.
