Black Friday spilled into Thanksgiving afternoon in the mountains Thursday, as hundreds bundled up and lined up outside stores.

Toys R' Us in Asheville had more than 150 shoppers wrapped around the building  waiting for the doors to slide open at 5 p.m.. Parents in line said they would save hundreds of dollars shopping on the holiday, some planned to finish all of their Christmas shopping inside the store.

One mother of four said she stores are now opening earlier and the best deals are today - not tomorrow.

"Of course you'd rather not be here on a holiday, but you have no option," she said.
