Christmas Party For The Blind
A special party was held Friday for the visually impaired in Hendersonville. The Lions Club hosted the Christmas party for the blind. The club coordinates with the Department of Social Services, then the invitations are sent. Some come on their own. Others with the help of family, friends or Lions Club members. Helping the visually impaired is something close to the club's heart. The Lions Club says it spends as much as $10,000 a year helping people get eye exams and glasses.
