NC Grand Prix
Professional cyclists came to Hendersonville for some elite competition this weekend. The North Carolina Grand Prix was held at Jackson Park.
The cyclo-cross course features natural terrain, to create mountain-bike style obstacles for riders. There is also the challenge of road-racing. This winter sport was made much more difficult by "mother nature."
Organizers say all the muddy grass will regenerate naturally by the time spring rolls around. Western North Carolina plays host to the USA Cycling National Championship in 2016, at the Biltmore Estate.
