Dollar General Robbed, Suspect Arrested
At 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Rutherford County Sheriff Deputies responded to a robbery at the Dollar General located at 2375 Oakland Road in Forest City, NC.
A white female approached the cashier and showed what appeared to be a gun and demanded all the money.
The cashier handed the female the money in the register and she left the store.
The female got into a gold colored four door car and left in an unknown direction of travel.
A BOLO was given to responding officers of the vehicle and the suspects.
Deputy Max Gee and Cpl. Robert Owens located a vehicle matching the description behind 1954 Oakland Road.
Evidence of the robbery and the money was recovered.
The female was identified as April Lynn Ratliff, 37 year old, who gave an address of Troy King Drive in Forest City.
Ratliff was transported to the Rutherford County Detention Facility and will be charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. The investigation is still on going.
