New Year's Day Traditions
There are some New Year's Day traditions still in the making and one of them got going on yoga mats in downtown Asheville.
One Center Yoga hosted a two hour class Wednesday morning called Set Your Intention. About 25 people gathered to reflect on the year past. Also to begin looking toward goals for 2014. For many, it's a practice that keeps them focused and moving forward.
"Yoga, I tell people it's my new drug, of choice, so to speak. It's something that has changed my life and I just want to keep it going, in the New Year," said Cam Stone.
But for many, it was more about the southern tradition of a plate of Hoppin' John, black-eyed peas, rice, collards and some type of pork. It's all supposed to bring luck and prosperity in the year to come.
