Put Down The Guns March
MLK Day in the Upstate included a walk to celebrate Dr. King's message of non-violence.
"Put Down The Guns Young People" held the walk through some neighborhoods in southern Greenville. A few dozen people participated in the walk and spoke out against gun violence in the black community.
Organizer of the event says it's an important way to remember Dr. King's message.
About a dozen people spoke at the event, including State Senator Karl Allen.
