Edna's Doggie Hospice Program
The owners of an Asheville coffee shop are using their business to help ailing dogs.
Tom Cash and Mike Zukoski own Edna's of Asheville, named after one of their dogs. The pair had fostered a dog who needed hospice care from Brother Wolf and that dog, Gummy Bear, passed away on Saturday.
They say they were so touched by their time with Gummy Bear that they have created Edna's Doggie Hospice Program. They'll take in one hospice dog and are asking the community to help out.
A donation jar will be set up at the business. The money collected will go to the dog currently in their care. Any excess funds will be donated to a local no-kill shelter.
