N.C. Flu Deaths On Rise
Five more people statewide have died of the flu. That makes the number total of flu deaths 27 in North Carolina since October.
While it's often the very young or the elderly coming down with symptoms, nearly half the people who've died from influenza this year have been between the ages of 25 and 49.
The number of flu cases being reported peaked in the weeks after Christmas. But there now appears to be a second bump in the numbers. Some local doctors are saying last weekend was one of the busiest so far this winter.
