The extreme cold made for an impressive display at a popular spot in Transylvania County, Looking Glass Falls off Highway 276 near Brevard. The sub-freezing temperature is causing ice to build up around the base of the falls. While Looking Glass Falls attracts visitors year-round, it's a unique sight to behold in winter.
"It's cool to see it turn white. We see it green, we see it orange and red in the fall so it's cool to see it white, because it's not something you see a lot. It looks how it feels in the summer," said Emily Wells.
Emily and Steven decided to get even closer and hiked down to the bottom. Of course, we want to remind folks to be careful on those icy rocks.
