Pipes Burst at Restaurant
At least 40 locations reported burst pipes today in Buncombe County, and many of those were businesses.
That includes Asheville's Luella's Barbecue.
It was forced to shut down today in the middle of the lunch rush after water started pouring from the bathroom ceilings.
The restaurant was closed yesterday, after pipes froze, and the owner says he opened this morning hoping for the best.
Jeff Miller, Luella's owner, "ya know I anticipated walking into a flood, or ya know at some point it was going to reveal itself. It was like let's enjoy our lives and move on until it happens and it happened."
This afternoon, as plumbers continued to work on pipes, staff were cleaning up, getting ready for dinner the owner saying he's hoping they can open tonight.
This was just one of dozens of incidents in the mountains today.
