More Flu Deaths
North Carolina health officials say ten more people died from the flu last week. That puts the total at 56 deaths statewide since January 1st. More than a third of the victims in North Carolina have been between the ages of 25 and 49.
Two people died of the flu in Buncombe County, both were fifty years old or older. The health department wants to remind you that it's not too late to get vaccinated.
Flu season generally runs until May.
