Bullets Riddle Fire Station
Someone riddled a Mills River Fire Station with bullets, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage. Investigators think it happened sometime late Sunday night at Station 4 on North Mills River Road. The station was not occupied at the time of the shooting. But the damage is significant.
Bullets hit an AC unit outside the building. Others traveled through the back wall and into the living quarters. Walls, doors, cabinets, a couch and more were damaged by gunfire. One fire truck was also hit, blowing out a tire and damaging the truck's body.
A one thousand dollar reward is now being offered for information. Callers can remain anonymous by reaching Crime Stoppers at 697-stop.
