Even in areas where the heavier snowfall has let-up for now, what's already on the ground is making for a dangerous situation.
The Upstate has been seeing everything throughout night, including light snow, some sleet, throw in rain. That continues to make the roads a mess. It's slow-going anywhere off the main roads that winter-mix of precipitation is keeping the pavement packed with snow and slush. The SCDOT says the focus remains the interstates trying to stay ahead of the bad weather.
There are warning signs out and few are venturing out. That doesn't mean the few businesses open aren't seeing any customers.
