TENNESSEE-The H1N1 flu claims the life of one Tennessee resident.

The state Health Department confirms the death, but is not giving out any details at this time.

Sources tell FOX 17 news the adult patient was first taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro before being taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center earlier this month.

They say that patient later died at Vandy.

The state has had 246 confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu, and health experts say more cases could pop up once students go back to school this fall.First Death in Tennessee from H1N1 Flu
