Carolina Kitchen: Korean Fried Shrimp

  • 8 large Raw shrimp
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 C. flour
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • .25 C. honey
  • 1 T sambal ( chili sauce)
  • .25 C. mayo
  • Arugula or Spring mix


  1. Heat Oil in pan (I enjoy using sunflower oil when frying)
  2. Mix eggs, flour & corn starch to make the batter. Dip the shrimp in the batter and then fry in oil
  3. Mix the honey, sambal & mayo for sauce. Once Shrimp are fried toss in sauce
  4. Serve shrimp on a bed of arugula or spring mix
