Ways to celebrate Valentine's Day Asheville-style

Are you stumped on what to do for your loved one on Valentine's Day? Here are some unique options to help you celebrate Asheville-style.

Brother Wolf's Valentine's Day Puppygram

Here's an adorable alternative to traditional Valentine's Day flowers -- a Puppygram! In exchange for a donation to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, a puppy or dog will visit your loved one at home or workplace on Feb. 14. The visit also comes with a rose, personalized card, and locally-made cupcake.

Orders required the day prior to delivery. The program is available within 20 miles of Asheville.

Valentine's at Highland Brewing

For beer lovers, Highland Brewing Company is offering a Valentine's-themed night of brews and chocolate. According to the event page on Facebook, the Tasting Room's walls will be covered in hearts where lovebirds can leave a note for their special someone. They'll also be serving a special Valentine's Day beer brewed with chocolate and bergamot. Chocolates from French Broad Chocolates, flowers from Flora Asheville, and heart-shaped pizzas from Tin Can Pizzeria will also be available for purchase.

Valentine's Day Pies + Pours at Catawba Brewing Co.

Catawba Brewing Co. is teaming up with Baked Pie Company for a night of beer and pie. Four pairings of beer and dessert pies will be served under the crystal chandelier in Catawba's Rickhouse bar. Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased here.

Valentine's Day Partner Yoga

Asheville Yoga Center will host a Valentine's Day partner yoga class. The Facebook event page says participants can "explore playfulness and buoyancy that expands the traditional practices of yoga into the realm of relationship and authentic connection with others."

The class takes place Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, from 5:30 p.m until 7:30 p.m. at the Asheville Yoga Center (located at 211 S. Liberty St. in Asheville). Tickets cost $40 per couple.

We Heart Helpmate: A Valentine’s Day Benefit Celebration at The Orange Peel

Asheville musicians Alex Krug and Chelsea La Bate of Ten Cent Poetry will host a Valentine's Day benefit concert for local domestic violence agency, Helpmate. Tickets cost $12 in advance, $15 at the door, and can be purchased here.

Fashion from 'Titanic' the Movie -- Biltmore Estate

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Biltmore Estate will host "Glamour on Board: Fashion from 'Titanic' the Movie" from Feb. 9 through May 13. Visitors can see 45 costumes from the iconic film within Biltmore House's grand rooms.

Restorative Foot Massage Special at Asheville Salt Cave

Asheville Salt Cave is offering a Valentine's Day special on a foot massage. You'll get a 20 minute foot massage and 45 minutes of salt therapy for $69 per person. This includes chocolates, herbal tea, and a small salt gift. Space is limited, you can make a reservation here.

Visit downtown for 'Love Asheville Go Local' Week

The City of Asheville, along with several other groups, are hoping to rekindle your romance with downtown for Valentine's Day. The week of Feb. 10-17 has been declared Love Asheville Go Local Week, which will include a series of events aimed at reconnecting locals to downtown. Check out the schedule here.
