What’s new on Haywood Road in West Asheville? Just about everything, that’s what.

Here's our roundup on all the places that have opened there recently--or are about to open:

Purna Yoga 828 just opened at 697 D Haywood Road, near BimBeriBon (see below) and Foothills Butcher Bar (also see below). Its doors opened on December 14, 2017, and it offers "alignment-based, heart-centered, community-oriented yoga classes for the whole you – body, mind, emotions and spirit."

The new West Side location of locally owned Asian fusion restaurant Gan Shan Station (it's near Pizza Mind) has only been open for a month or so at the east end of Haywood Road. Check it out for lunch and dinner, wine and spirits, ramen, rice bowls and dumplings. Yum!

The Haywood Road Holiday Market is a seasonal pop-up, but still brand new. It's open through Christmas Eve, selling local art and handmade products.

The Black Cloud is a basement metal bar right next to The Hop. It's been open since March!? How did we miss it?

Spiderweb Tattoo has its grand opening on October 28, 2017. It's right next to the DeSoto Lounge.

Foothills Butcher Bar is open in the former Bandido's location, and it opened in November. Check it out for burgers, house-made hot dogs and tallow fries.

Current hours are here.

It was pretty hard to miss BimBeriBon, the latest restaurant from Reza Setayesh of Reza's, Piazza ,and Baba Nahm acclaim. BimBeriBon opened in September, serving an eclectic, healthy international menu including breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, coffee and even food from a grab-and-go case.

The Anchor Bar & Kitchen opened in July 2017, replacing the former Buffalo Nickel along West Asheville's main drag. It serve tradition American food, pizza, drink specials and more.

Hours are here.

Forage is the botanical coffee bar that's part of Flora, a Haywood Road florist. It opened in July, serving organic baked goods, coffee and tea with an herbal twist at 428 Haywood Road.

Local 604 Bottle Shop is a wine, beer, and spirits store/bodega next to Firestorm, and opened this past summer.

Also opening over the summer was Fleetwoods Rock ‘n’ Roll Chapel and Vintage Store. It's in the location of the former Daggitt’s Pawn.

And maybe you missed On the Inside, a local provider of handmade, made-to-order lingerie? On the Inside is located a the former Wander Trees (AKA the former Christian bookstore on Haywood Road), also opened in August.

We're looking forward to the opening of Ambrose West, a new music venue on the east end of Haywood, near VILLAGERS and OWL. Looks like Ambrose West is taking some of the bookings would otherwise have gone to the Altamont Theatre, which is closing at the end of 2017.

Look for benefits, local music, tribute bands (like Asheville's Lost Chord, a Moody Blues tribute band) and more.

Haywood Common is under construction at 507 Haywood Road, near the former Collapseable Studio on the corner of Haywood and Burton Street. According to the restaurant-to-be's Facebook page, Haywood Common will serve rustic seasonal dishes created from partnerships with local farmers.

Next to Haywood Common is The Whale, a retail beer shop that bills itself as a craft beer collective.

Lo-ki Lounge is set to open at 402 Haywood Road. Its owners say the are "opening up the first shrub/alternative bar in Asheville."
