Pie-lovers, rejoice! You now have another location in Western North Carolina to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Baked Pie Company has been open in South Asheville since spring 2017 and just opened a second location in Woodfin. Now, no matter what part of town you're in, pie is just around the corner.

"Pies, to me, just kind of take you back home to your grandparents house, it just brings back a lot of memories," Ingrid Cole said.

Cole is the sister of Baked Pie Company's founder Kirsten Fuchs. Business has been booming for the pair over the last year.

"It was slammed from the day we opened," Fuchs said. "We ran out of the pies before the day ended."

Baked Pie Company bakes anywhere between 80 to 100 pies a day. Varieties include Honey Pecan, Apple Crumb, Peanut Butter Brownie, and Blackberry. Their menu is updated daily and include vegan, gluten free, and sugar free options.

Many of the recipes are Fuchs' and many come from their pastry chefs.

"All of these pies were made this morning. They get there around 4 a.m., and they start making the deliciousness, as you can smell," Cole said.

You can buy a whole pie or just a slice. If you can't decide on a single flavor, you can also order a pie flight -- three smaller slices, served with a scoop of ice cream.

"I go into restaurants and I'm like, 'I wish I could have a little bit of each one.' And when I opened this, I said, 'I going to do that. I going to offer pie flights'," Fuchs explained. The menu feature has become Baked Pie Company's number one seller.

Their new location is located right next to the Woodfin YMCA, attracting some gym-goers.

"It's really convenient because the Y is right there. So, it's like, go work out, and it's like maybe I should have a pie now that I burned all those calories off," customer Liza Albright said.

Fuch said she kept customers in mind when she chose to open a second location in Reynolds Village.

"When this spot came available, it just spoke to me as far as people in east and west Asheville have a place to go where they're not fighting traffic," she said. "They're not fighting for parking like you would be downtown."

The sisters say the community has been welcoming, and said they hope to attract more people to Reynolds Village.

"We're just so happy that everyone leaves happy," Cole said. "Everyone likes pie -- Who knew?"

Baked Pie Company has two locations: 4 Long Shoals Road in Arden and 50 North Merrimon (Reynolds Village) in Woodfin. See shop hours here. Check their Arden Facebook page and Woodfin Facebook page for menu offerings, which are updated daily.
