2 Career Academy students charged with assault on school employee
Two Career Academy students are charged with assault on a school employee, the Hendersonville County Sheriff's Department said in a press release Tuesday.
Following an investigation by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, with consultation with the District Attorney’s Office, the students were arrested following an incident at the Career Academy that happened on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
One 16-year-old was charged with one count of assault on a school employee. At the time of his arrest, he was also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was released under a $2,500 secured bond.
The second 16-year-old student was charged with two counts of assault on a school employee and was released under a $2,000 secured bond.
