A-B Tech, Eblen offers free sealants for some 2nd-graders
Dental care can get expensive, especially if you have young children. But a program at one local school is helping reduce the cost for some families.
For the 19th year, A-B Tech and Eblen Charities are providing free sealants for second-graders in Buncombe County.
Eblen Charities' Executive Director Bill Murdock said the Eblen Dental Sealant Partnership a good way to save money and maintain a healthy smile.
"It's something that's going to help them prevent cavities, save them a lot of pain and their parents a lot of expense all the way down the road," Murdock said. "Plus, they get a toothbrush here and some education on how to keep their teeth clean."
The program will be held every Friday through the end of May on A-B Tech's campus.
