Additional charges added to arrest after suspect runs from police

A Henderson County man has been arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering charges.

Authorities with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office say deputies and detectives went to a residence on View Rock Lane in Hendersonville attempting to serve felony warrants on 38-year-old Martin Franklin Worley on Friday, December 15.

As deputies pulled into the driveway they observed Worley running from a car into the residence.

After surrounding the residence, deputies located Worley hiding on the back deck and placed him under arrest.

While searching for Worley, detectives observed construction equipment previously stolen in early December from a construction site nearby.

After being arrested for misdemeanor probation violation, felony obtaining property by false pretenses and misdemeanor possession of stolen property, Worley was additionally charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen property from a construction site, misdemeanor injury to personal property, felony possession of methamphetamine, and two counts misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Worley remains in custody at the Henderson County jail under a $62,000 secured bond.
