ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Much of our area is dealing with severe weather, and as usual with flooding, Biltmore Village is severely affected.
Some roads in that area were underwater this afternoon, making for dramatic social media videos as dozens of vehicles tried to make the trek across flooded roads.
Cars rolled at a slow pace in water that was at least up to their headlights.
For many residents, this is an all too familiar sight on Biltmore Village, with some frustrated that this continues to happen.
"I don't know what can be done, if it will be done but I just feel like, I don't know if it's an infrastructure issue, but we just flood here so bad, and the city continues to grow," said J.T> Teague of Moe's Barbecue.
Eventually authorities shut down that section of Brook, though barricades are down and the road has since reopened.
The APD and the DOT helped clean storm drains.
There was a mudslide on Amboy Road, but we're told that will reopen soon.
