MILLS RIVER, N.C. (WLOS) — Some exciting news for beer lovers, Sierra Nevada announced its plans to reopen its Mills River taproom and gift shop.
The brewery says it plans to reopen at 50% capacity on May 12 with dining reservations only. Curbside pickup will continue. Tables will be socially distanced and additional safety measures will be introduced. The Gift Shops will also reopen at 50% capacity and will continue offering curbside pickup in addition to in-person shopping.

“We are thrilled to once again open our doors to our customers,” said Sierra Nevada Vice President Brian Grossman. He stressed that keeping customers and employees safe was still the company’s number one priority. “We have spent months preparing for this and would not be reopening if we did not think it was safe to do so.”
The brewery is also hiring Food & Beverage roles to staff the restaurants in preparation for the reopening. New employees will start immediately and will receive full benefits soon after employment. To learn more or to apply, click here.

“We are in the beer business, and there is nothing we love more than sharing food and drink with our friends,” said Grossman. “This year has obviously been very difficult on us all, and we can’t wait to raise a glass together once again.”
The brewery has been closed to the public since March 2020.
