This week marks a big milestone for a much-loved News 13 anchor.

Hard to believe, but News 13's warm ray of sunshine Tammy Watford started shortly before the epic Blizzard of '93.

"I'm guessing you started when you were 15 because you're still so young!" anchor Frank Fraboni quipped.

For two decades, Watford's passion project has been her Never Stop Learning segments, which highlight local schoolchildren. In 2016, the Buncombe County School Board honored her for spotlighting education over the years.

While she talks to kids, we 'never stop learning' about her.

"She's somebody with a really big heart, and it comes across in her Never Stop Learning," Fraboni said.

"She asks questions in a way that they can understand," anchor Darcel Grimes said.

And, thankfully, we can look forward to lots more Tammy time ahead.
