Great Smoky Mountains National Park — This week, the Clingmans Dome observation tower in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park will be closed once again for repairs.
Repairs will start again on Tuesday, July 10. The repairs are part of a rehabilitation project that began last year, and there have been other closures to get the job done.
The plan is to have the tower back open Friday, July 27, 2018.
Until then, the parking area, visitor center, store, and trailheads will still be open.
