Community meeting about school safety draws crowd to Hendersonville gun shop
A community meeting over school safety drew a crowd to a Hendersonville gun shop.
They met at Fruitful Seasons Pistol Packing Saturday afternoon.
There they heard from Jane Bilello, a retired teacher and gun-rights activist, on why arming teachers is a good thing.
For her plan to work, North Carolina law would have to change. Current laws do not allow guns on school grounds.
"Throwing rocks or cans of soup is not going to work. It is just not going to work. When you have bullets flying one way, you've got to get them flying the other way," Bilello said.
The shop even started offering teachers and coaches free concealed-carry classes.
