Once again, downtown Hendersonville is getting fully into the holiday spirit and bringing back a popular downtown hotspot!

A new, larger, iceless skating rink opens at the Visitor Center at 201 South Main Street, on December 18, 2018, and runs through Tuesday, January 1.

The synthetic ice-skating rink is made from special polymers and features two curling lanes. Beginners can learn to skate easily on the synthetic surface with more control than on refrigerated ice. Enjoy roasting marshmallows for a tasty s’more, or playing a game of corn hole, checkers, or Jenga with your family and friends.

Price of admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children, which includes the skate rental. Group rates for 10 or more are available, by reservation. The hours of the rink are 11am-7pm, Christmas Eve 11am-3pm, Christmas Day-Closed, New Year’s Eve 11am-3pm, and New Year’s Day from 11am-6pm. Weather permitting.

The skating rink is a fundraiser for the Henderson County America in Bloom Committee. America in Bloom is a mentoring program that helps towns enhance environmental awareness, promote economic development, and improve quality of life.
