Four taken to hospital after wreck Sunday night in Yancey Co.

WLOS — YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. -- Two vehicles were involved in a wreck Sunday night near Micaville that send four to the hospital, with two transported by air.

The wreck happened Sunday night around 7:45 p.m. on Highway 80, just south of Micaville in Yancey County.

A trooper said a green pick-up truck traveled left of center and collided head-on with a Pontiac Aztec SUV.

Two people were taken by ambulance to Mission Hospital. Another person was airlifted by Wings to Johnson City Hospital, and another person was airlifted by MAMA to Mission Hospital.
