Franklin Graham's nonprofit 'grieving' Billy Graham's death
A nonprofit headed by Billy Graham's son, Franklin, said it isn't ready to make a public comment about the death of the elder Graham.
Franklin Graham has been president of Samaritan's Purse since 1979. The organization said it is "privately grieving" and support the Graham family.
Billy Graham died Wednesday morning at his home in Montreat.
"What a wonderful, godly man he was," Boone resident and Samaritan's Purse volunteer Diane Ford said. "What an example to all of us. What an inspiration to the country."
Samaritan's Purse has been around for more than 40 years helping those in need in times of war, disease and natural disaster.
