Friends of an Asheville woman killed Sunday on the Blue Ridge Parkway are working to honor and celebrate her life.

Christner's friends said she moved to Asheville two years ago. She worked at Asheville Bee Charmer and also was a member of Asheville Yoga Center.

Asheville Bee Charmer owner Jillian Kelly said Christner definitely had a lasting effect on the community.

"I think she helped elevate so many people, whether it was through honey and cooking or yoga," Kelly said. "The amount of people that her life impacted in two short years here in Asheville is incredible."

A celebration of life for Christner is planned for Saturday at the Asheville Yoga Center. Friends and family will also hold a private ceremony out by the beehives where Christner loved to spend her time.
