ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A local film company has released its latest project -- just in time for Halloween.
Tacky Tie Productions' "Witch" is being screened at Carolina Cinemark in Asheville.
"Witch" is about a college student who finds out a woman is a witch, decides to interview her, but gets more than she bargained for.
The movie, which takes place in Hendersonville, was shot all around Western North Carolina.
"We also filmed in the local area -- near Lake Julian, near Valley Springs Elementary School," director Rick Welch said.
"Since this is, like, an Appalachian story, I feel closer to my roots," led actress Halee Wilkie said. "And the fact that this is happened in Hendersonville, of all places, it's just incredible to me."
