Once again, Hearts with Hands is stepping up their efforts to help those in need after the devastation from Hurricane Michael.

Later this month, volunteers will be taking donations to Bay County, Florida, schools where schools, homes and entire communities were destroyed by Hurricane Michael.

Donations are being taken for this trip, including a collection drive by a local student. Asheville Christian Academy student, Alex Rudins is hosting two collection dates in hopes of helping collect donations.

The first day will be Thursday, December 6 at Southeastern Sports Medicine (21 Turtle Creek Drive, Asheville) all day until 6 p.m. If you can’t make it Thursday, donations will be accepted at Asheville Christian Academy (74 Riverwood Road, Swannanoa) from 12 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

The goal is to make sure each and every school and student in the Bay County area has supplies to give their students for the Christmas break.
