Intermission is over: Center for Art & Entertainment in Henderson County reopens
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Center for Art and Entertainment in Henderson County reopened with an art show Friday night in the center's lobby.
The show called "Fabulous Fakes" showcases unique twists on well-known art pieces.
Officials with the center said they are investing tens of thousands of dollars on safety equipment, protocols and staff training.
"We put in, I think its called Helo lights, into the HVAC system, and we reworked our program. And all of our seats are apart, and we have many safety measures," the center's Monica Bixby said.
Friday night's art show runs through May 4.

There is no box office, managing director Jeanie Linders said in a news release. Tickets may be purchased online at www.thecenterae.org.
"We are very excited, but it's not going to be theater as usual for a long time," Linders said. "In addition to reconfiguring theater seating and adding tables to create a club atmosphere, we have addressed the challenges of no lobby gathering, drinks service, back stage safety for entertainers and crew, as well as adding HVAC virus killing air-filter units and a hospital-grade sanitizing system. Tickets can only be purchased in seating pods of two or four tickets designated on the ticket page."
