ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) -- Jury selection is set to begin in the murder trial of an Asheville woman accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend.
Robin Richardson is in court Monday. She's charged with murdering longtime WLOS employee Tim Fry in December of 2015.
On a December 11, 2015 call, Richardson told dispatchers that the two were arguing, and that "Fry assaulted her, so she shot him with a rifle."
In the call, Richardson made several comments regarding the homicide that are potentially incriminating, according to documents.
Fry's body was found with several gunshot wounds to the chest.
Authorities say the injuries came from a 12-gauge shotgun.
