Kohlhepp charged with murder of 3 people found buried on his property

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WLOS) - Violent crimes investigators Monday charged suspected killer Todd Kohlhepp with the murders of three people found buried on his property in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

Those charges are connected to the killings of Charlie Carver and Megan and Johnny Coxie. Kohlhepp is also charged with the kidnapping of Megan Coxie.

Earlier in November, authorities searched Kohlhepp's rural property and found a woman alive and chained in a storage container. Investigators said they later found the woman's boyfriend, Charlie Carver, in a shallow grave.

The bodies of Megan and Johnny Coxie were later found on the property, as well.

Authorities say Kohlhepp also has confessed to a quadruple killing at a motorcycle shop in 2003, linking him to seven deaths in all.

Kohlhepp is scheduled to appear at a bond hearing later Monday night on the new charges.
