McDowell deputies ask for help identifying truck, suspect in watercraft thefts

The McDowell County Sheriff's Office says the driver of white Ford truck seen in surveillance video is believed to have stolen two personal watercrafts.

Deputies are looking for the truck and its driver.

On Saturday, December 23, 2017, a Canton woman reported that someone had taken her 1995 and 2003 Sea-Doo Bombardier watercrafts and a trailer, valued at $3000, from the storage area at the Marion Moose Lodge at 999 Bill Cook Drive.

The theft occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 16 and 6:50 p.m. on December 23.

A white Ford pickup truck was caught on surveillance video at the Moose Lodge; deputies believe the driver is the thief.

Anyone with information concerning the theft or suspect is asked to call Detective Billie Brown at 652-2237 or McDowell County Crime Stoppers at 65-CRIME (652-7463).
