POLK COUNTY, N.C. -- A Polk County man, convicted of murder, will remain in prison for life with no chance for parole.
The State Court of Appeals came back with a unanimous vote by three appeals judges, that the trial for Travis McGraw was "free from error" and that the defendant was given a fair trial.
McGraw murdered his wife Vanessa Mintz in June of 2011 at the Saluda Mountain Lodge.
McGraw can still appeal to the North Carolina Supreme Court if he chooses to.
