Mission Health collecting items for firefighters

Groups across Western North Carolina are collecting donations for firefighters. One fire department called News13 to say they have plenty of water, but they could use eye drops, socks, moisturizer, lip balm, and protein like beef jerky. (Photo credit: WLOS staff)

Donations for area fire departments working on the wildfires are being accepted at several hospitals within Mission Health System.\

Boxes for donations will be placed in lobbies and cafeterias at the following locations:

  • Angel Medical Center in Franklin
  • Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine
  • Highlands-Cashiers Hospital
  • Mission Hospital in Asheville
  • McDowell Hospital in Marion
  • Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard
