Multi-vehicle wreck, diesel spill snarls traffic on I-26
HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) —
A three-vehicle collision on Interstate 26 sent two drivers to the hospital and shut down one lane of the interstate on Thursday morning.
It happened around 10 a.m. on I-26 eastbound, near Exit 44.
Highway Patrol said a utility truck unsafely merged and collided with a semi-truck, which then hit another semi.
A patrolman said two drivers were taken to Park Ridge Hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers said diesel spilled onto the interstate, so drivers should expect a lane closure to continue while crews clean up.
News 13 has a crew on scene and will update as details become available.
